    This subject’s learning objective is to enable participants to develop their dissertation projects, deciding on a theme, scope and methods, and carrying out a plan to do the work.

    Topics directly related to the development of the dissertation project will be addressed: (1) how to select areas and topics of interest; (2) how to find a tutor and establish a productive working relationship with him or her; (3) how to establish and refine the project scope; (4) how to define the research question; (5) how to establish a solid theoretical foundation; (6) how to place the topic in the existing literature; (7) how to define and detail the research methodology; (8) how to plan the development of the dissertation; (9) how to improve the dissertation's written form; and (10) how to present the dissertation to the committee and incorporate improvements.
