São Paulo, November 5 th , 2020
Dear students and colleagues from FGV EAESP,
We hope that this message finds you, your family and friends well and healthy! FGV EAESP is cautiously resuming its on-site activities in order to guarantee the wellbeing of our community. In order to re-open our campus, we follow two basic principles: the principle of voluntary return – only those who wish will resume presential activities – and the principle of prudence – the return will take place slowly, gradually and safely, in order to minimize any risk.
Please continue remotely with your activities, if you are part of the COVID-19 risk groups or face any comorbidity. Furthermore, contact the Medical Ambulatory, AmbMedico@fgv.br, in order to receive the necessary guidance and update your records. As of November 9, the school will be partially open for selected activities, respecting the protocols described in the booklet attached to this email. In order to access the campus, you have to response on a daily basis an online survey with questions about eventual health problems and COVID-19 symptoms. The entire school community will shortly receive this link to this survey. We are also pleased to inform you that Fleruy Medicina e Saúde, one of most important health institutions in Brazil, will support FGV in these activities.
The following selected activities – especially for undergraduate courses – are planned for 2020:
i) Students’ entities can resume some of their activities;
ii) Workshops about specific topics;
iii) Offering selected courses in hybrid format as a test for 2021;
For the first half of 2021, we plan the following activities, subject to the evolution of the pandemic:
i) All courses will be either in complete remote or hybrid format (students can choose between face-to-face or virtual classes). None of the classes will be offered exclusively in the face-to-face format, guaranteeing access to classes to the entire community, including those who are unable or choose to attend school only in virtual format;
ii) All academic programs such as the Academic Master and Doctorate will only be offered remotely throughout the first semester of 2021;
iii) Professional and specialization programs will apply the same rules as the undergraduate program (see paragraph i), except for the Professional Doctorate (DBA), remaining remote throughout the first semester of 2021;
iv) Staff will take alternating shifts in their offices and can continue with remote activities. A maximum of 30% of employees is expected to be physically present on FGV EAESP’s campus.
Shortly, program directors contact their students and inform the planned activities, as well as the necessary procedures for entering the school. We count on your collaboration to resuming face-to-face activities in a safe manner, without exposing our community to risky circumstances.
Sincerely,
Dean’s Office FGV-EAESP
