The Center for Studies on New Developmentalism of the Sao Paulo School of Business Administration at Getulio Vargas Foundation invited to participate in the 5th Workshop on New Developmentalism: Economics and Political Economy of New Developmentalism, which was held in São Paulo, Brazil, on July 28 and 29, 2022.
The program included, on the first day, a mini-course on new developmentalism in which the theory was compared with classical developmentalism (development economics) as well as with post-Keynesian macroeconomics – the two schools of thought from which new developmentalism originates.
Robert Wade, from London School of Economics, one of the main specialists in the development model of East Asian countries, was the Keynote Speaker on the first day and gave a Masterclass on the second day of the Workshop.
The presentations by prof. Bresser, prof. Wade, prof. Marconi and prof. Oreiro, as well as the detailed program of the event (with the link to the papers), can be found in a PDF file, attached below.
